DEFEAT OF OTAHUHU SUCCESS FOR MOUNT ALBERT TWO CLUB RECORDS BROKEN Two records wore broken rind one equalled at Gribble-Hirst Park on Saturday when an inter-club amateur athletic programme was staged between the Otahuhu and Mount Albert clubs. The successful athletes were Miss U. Amoretti in the ladies' shot putt, Mrs. G. Carr in the ladies' discus, and T. Bassett, who equalled the record in the senior 220 yds. event. MEETING AT HAMILTON ATTEMPT ON RECORD [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Prominent athletes from all over the Waikato participated in events at the sports meeting held in conjunction with the annual celebration of the Old Fourth Waikatos at Steele Park, Hamilton East, yesterday.
