MERGER OPPOSED
CANADIAN RAILWAYS [from oujej own correspondent] OTTAWA, Feb. 2 Organised Canadian railway workers oppose the amalgamation of- the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific transcontinental railways as a means of solving the problem of heavy deficits and reduced freight and passenger loads. They suggest that the best solution is for the Dominion Government to acquire power to regulate all foitua of transportation.
