REPAINTING THE STATION

Built nine years ago, the Auckland Railway Station is to have its accumulation of grime removed and is to be repainted for the first time. A start was made with the work yesterday and members of the niaintainance staff were to be seen scraping soot off the pillars and roof of the platforms with wire brushes.
