.GREEKS PLAN MARATHON LONDON, Feb. 0 Greece isi planning an international running race in October from Marathon to Athens to coincide with the anniversary of Plieidippiclcs' run. Grecce intends to hold this marathon every two years and invito Olympic and European national Marathon winners to compete. In 490 B.C. Pheidippides, a Greek soldier, ran some 26 miles from the plain of Marathon to Athens, to announce the Greek victory at Marathon over the Persians. Ho fell dead after delivering his message.
