OBITUARY
SIR WILLIAM COX :# ELLERMAN ESTATE DIRECTOR (Received February 17, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 17 ! The death has occurred of Sir William Cox. He was best known as director of the Ellerman estate since Sir John Ellerman's death. He served with the Royal Artillery in the Great War, 1914-17, and was mentioned in despatches and awarded the D.S.O. Sir John Ellerman, first baronet, shipowner and financier, who died on July 16, 1933, was credited with being one of the wealthiest men in Britain. He left estate valued at more than £17,000,000;
