WAIKATO CLUB SUMMER MEETING PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY the stobey memorial SCOTLAND WELL FANCIED Strong fields are carded for the opening of the Waikato Racing Club's Summer Meeting at Te Rapa to-day, when the chief events will be the Storey. Rivalax may be all the better for his recent racing and Jean Qitex has shown a good deal of speed. Estro shaped well in the .Wynyard Plato at Ellerslie last month aad a similar effort should mako her difficult to beat. The best of the others may be Gamps and Diversity. DEATH OF HERITAGE GOOD WINNER IN INDIA The death is reported from India of Heritage, from a form of colic. Heritage, by Posterity from Homage, was bred by Mr. G. M. Currie and purchased as a yearling by Mr. W. H. Gaisford for 52.'i guineas. He proved a raceliiorso of good class. He won the C.J.C. Challenge Stakes from Inflation, Variant and Greek Shepherd, and two other races in his first season. He won five of his three-year-old races ami was placed five times in six other starts. After a success in the Trentham Stakes he was sold to India, where bis wins included the richly endowed Eclipse Stakes.
