MISSING RELATIVE
LAST ADDBESS DUNEDIN division of an estate MOVE TO PRESUME DEATH [FROM Olllt own correspondent] LONDON, .Tan. 30 Relatives of a Perthshire man who disappeared .31 years ago, and whose last address was at Dunedin, New Zealand, have asked Sheriff Valentine at Forth to allow them to presume his death.
Mrs. Catherine Wilson or Monenr, Mrs. Margaret Wilson or Hendry, James Wilson, and Mrs. Jemima Wilson or Balfour, aro pursuers against David Wilson, farmer, and Miss Mary Wilson, who are executors dative of the late Mrs. Catherine Methven or Wilson.
The pursuers ask the Court to find that Peter Wilson, farm worker, has disappeared, that the date on which ho was last known to be alive was June 1, 1907, and that ho died or must bo presumed to liavo died on June 1, 1914.
The pursuers and defenders are surviving children of the late Mrs. Catherine Wilson or Methven, who died on July 1, 1928. Shares in her estate are divisible among members of the family and the estate has been so divided by tho defenders, but they have retained, as executors, tho share falling to Peter Wilson.
For somo time Peter Wilson was a farm servant at North Bellfield, Burglimuir, Perth. Early in 1907 he left Perth and went to Dunedin. He wrote to his sister, Miss Mary Wilson, about May of that year and gave his address as Shannon Post Office, Dunedin.
Miss Wilson wrote to that address, but she received no reply. Later she wrote to tho postmaster ait Dunedin inquiring about her brother. The answer was that her brother had occasionally called at the post office and collected letters, but that he ultimately ceased calling. No reply was ever received from Peter Wilson, and he has never been heard of since June, 1907. In 1936 relatives advertised in New Zealand newspapers for him without result. Peter Wilson's share in tho estate now amounts to £2BB 17s Id.
