CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
OF OFFICERS MR. A; ELY AGAIN PRESIDENT I No election will be necessary for the positions of president and vice-presi-dent of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Mr. A. Ely and Mr. N. B. Spencer being the only nominees for the respective positions. Mr. Ely is the present president. Six nominations have been received for five seats on the council, the candidates being Messrs B. H. Kingston, L. D. Nathan, A. E. Playle, G. S. Poole (sittinc members). R. S. Harrop and H. J. Wright.
The annual meeting of the importers" section of the chamber was held on Thursday, when Mr. L. D. Nathan was re-elected chairman of committee. Mr. J. Yock was appointed vice-ch airman, and Mr. J. Hislop was re-elected as the section committee's representative on the council of the chamber.
