WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
NATIONAL FITNESS EVENTS CRICKET AT EDEN PARK Ail interesting list of sporting attractions lias been arranged for this weekend, and the national fitness week activities will be commenced to-day with a physical culture display by the Auckland Girls' Athletic Association at Eden Park. The display will be hold in conjunction with the Auckland Cricket Association's weekly matches. The cricket senior championship will be continued to-day at Edon Park, where the principal match will bo botween Grafton and Eden. As the teams arc leaders in the championship, tho honours for the season may depend 011 the match. A large number of pcoplo should bo attracted to Milford to-day and tomorrow, when tho New Zealand surf life-saving championships will be conducted. Tho Waitemnta Harbour is expected to be tho scene of an exciting contest to-day in the third and final race between the Australian and Auckland 18ft. yachts in tho world sailing championship for this class. The annual regatta of the Victoria Cruising Club will also bo held to-day, when races for nearly all classes will bo contested. Tho main attraction at Blandford Park will bo tho match between Y.M.C.A. and Pioneers in the Auckland Baseball Association's competition lor tho E. Buchanan Cup. Matches in the tennis, competition for tho Caro Memorial Cup will bodield at tho Stanley Street courts, while the annual inter-club events-undcr tho control of the Auckland Rowing Association will be rowed 011 the Tamaki Drivo course. An amateur athletics meeting at Takapuna, bowling and rifle shooting to-dav, and the Tamaki Yacht Club's race for tho Australian yachts to-mor-row, complete the sporting events..
