FITNESS WEEK AWARDS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Thursday Referring to-day to the various sports programmes of Fitness Week, the Minister of Internal Affairs, tho Hon. W. Ej. Parry, remarked that a question had been raised about awards for winners. His belief was that, in view of the national purpose of Fitness Week, suitable recognition of success in any event would be the giving of cards, not trophies such as those usuallv associated with amateur sports. The Minister commended the example set by the Rangiora committee, which had decided to issue souvenir cards. Each card would carry the names of the winners and of the chairman and secretary of the committee. At the committee's request he had agreed to t]he inclusion of a facsimile of his signature as Minister of Internal Affairs^
