TWO WOMEN INJURED WATERFRONT ACCIDENT FAILURE TO TAKE CORNER Two young women suffered serious injuries in a motor-car accident on the waterfront road at Mission Bay shortly after midnight. The victims were Miss Doris Thow, aged 19, of 27 Dryden Street. Grey Lynn who suffered head injuries and concussion, and Miss Alma Stenberg, aged 20," of Richmond Road. Ponsonby, who suffered internal injuries and shock. The car in which they were .passengers was returning to the city, and failed to negotiate the sharp bend near the Kohimarama Wharf. It hurtled over the concrete retaining wall, and capsized on the foreshore, the tide' being out. The car was extensively damaged.

The victims were taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance, and their condition at an early hour was fairly serious. The two male escorts of the young women were not injured.
