FIFTY YEARS MARRIED
MR. AND MRS. J. McKEARNEY RESIDENTS OF CAMBRIDGE [FROM OUR OWN CORUFSPONDKNTI CAMBRIDGE. Thursday The 50th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. -I MeKearnev, of Hall Street. Cambridge, occurred yesterday, and earlier in the week golden wedding celebrations were held, at which four generations of the family were present. Mr. and Mrs. MeKearnev were married at St. Paul's Church, Auckland, by the Rev. Heavens. Mrs. McKearney was before her marriage Miss Susan Sarah Hooey. For 47 years of their married life, Mr. and Mrs. McKearney have lived in Cambridge. Mrs. McKearney recounted many of the hardships they encountered, in her book "Just Me." which was published at the end of last year.
Mr. and Mrs. McKearney received many congratulations at the anniversary celebrations, including a telegram from the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage.
