CLOTHING STOLEN
TEAMSTER ADMITS CHARGE PROBATION FOR TWO YEARS A plea of guilty was entered by John James Ross, aged 52, teamster, in the Polico Court, yesterday, before Mr. C. It. Orr Walker, S.M., to a charge of stealing a suit of clothes and other clothing of a total value of £l4 ss, the property of Walter Henry Overton. Detective-Sergeant A. G. McHugh, who prosecuted, said that accused had gone to a hotel while under the influence of liquor and committed the theft. There was little to bo said in accused's favour.
The magistrate said that accused had not been in trouble much in the last three or four years. He would give accused an opportunity of going iitto the country on the condition that ho kept away from drink. Accused was admitted to probation for two years.
