AUCKLAND SHOW

VARIETY OF EVENTS The Auckland Summer Show will be held at the Epsom Show Grounds next Friday and Saturday and a variety of entertainment will be offered. Apart from the usual exhibits, trotting races and hunters' events will be contested. A feature of the programme .-on both afternoons will be displays of horsemanship by the American "Daredevil" Frank McFarlan© and the Australian Fred Yeomans. McFarlane, who has competed at rodeos and fairs throughout tlio United States and Canada, will be seen in several spectacular exhibitions, including one in which he will stand astride two horses and jump over a parked motor-car. Champion rough-rider of Australia, Yeomans will challenge all-comers to a contest. Ho is also a stockwhip export and will perform a number of tricks with his 60ft whip. As a special attraction at the gymkhana on the Saturday night, McFarlane will mount his two horses in Roman fashion and jump over a series of flaming hurdles. -
