PRESS ATTACK
FRENCH STARTLING STORY SECRET NEGOTIATIONS GERMANY AND ITALY By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Independent Cable Service (Received February 35, 10.50 p.m.) PARTS, Feb. 15 All sections of the French press attack the Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, alleging that he is negotiating with Rome and Berlin behind the backs of the French Ambassadors. It is stated that the manager of the Bank of Indo-China, M. Baudoin, a personal friend of M. Bonnet, discussed with Count Ciano possible concessions to Italy in Africa, while another friend, M. Brinon, informed Herr von Ribbentrop of the negotiations.
The French Ambassejlor to Berlin, M. Robert Coulondre, who was not informed, hurried to Paris to protest. The French Foreign Office denies the whole affair.
