Mrs. J. Hawkins and Miss M. Hawkins, of Winnersh, England, are spending several months in the Dominion and are the guests of Miss D. M. Hawkins, of New Lynn.

Mrs. W. E. Browne, of England, who is spending several months with her mother, Mrs. A. Emanuel, of Kerikeri, is at present the guest of Mrs. Douglas Robb, Symonds Street.

Mrs. B. C. Morris and Mrs. E. K. Walker (Newcastle, Australia), Mrs. F. R. Spencer, Mrs. L. Esdaile and Miss V. Spencer (Sydney) and Miss N. Courtenay Hood (England) are at the Grand Hotel.

Miss Gwen Mitchell, of Mount St.* John Avenue, Epsom, left this week for England, where she will spend the next year. She intends taking several refresher courses in physical training and will also attend a world congress in Sweden.

Mrs. 0. F. Buddie, of Havelock Street, Auckland, will leave this morning for Rotorua. She will be accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. N. Paton, of Scotland, who arrived this week from England.

Mrs. John E. Bates, of Victoria Avenue, Remuera, and her daughter, Miss Joan Bates, will leave by the Monterey to-morrow for Sydney, where they will connect with the Orcades en route to Ceylon, where Miss Bates' marriage will take place. Mrs. Bates will return home via Singapore and Batavia, and expects to be away about six months.
