SULTAN OF JOHORE [i-ROM oril OWN CORRESPONDENT] SINGAPORE, Feb. 2 While the Sultan of Johore, 61-voar-old ruler of Malay's wealthiest State, spends a long holiday in Europe, his lavish new palace is almost ready for occupation. It was formerly planned for the former Sultana Lady Helen, a Scotswoman, whom the Sultan last year divorced by saying "Talak" ("I divorce") three times. Xow Johore and Singapore society gossips are wondering whether another woman is destined to take her place iu the new palace as the wile oi the Sultan. Tliev recall his friendship with Miss Lvdia Hall, a London dancer. The palace is a magnificent building with ballroom and orchestral balcony. A luxurious swimming pool will be a feature of the lay-out of the 280 acres of grounds.
