WAIHI HOTEL SITE
REMOVAL, PLAN WITHDRAWN [BY TELECRAFH —OWN CORRESPONDENT THAMES. Wednesday An application from H. V. Gibson, of Waihi, for the removal of the Commercial Hoiel to a more central site in the town was received at a meeting of the Thames Licensing Committee. Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M., presided. After some objections to the removal had .been heard. Mi\ L. J. Stevens, who appeared for the applicant, said that he had been instructed to withdraw the application, Mr. Stevens stated that there were tentative drawings prepared for a new hotel on the present site, and he would, have the new proposals ready for. submission to the committee at the next quarterly sitting.
