ACCIDENT AVERTED
EPISODE AT CROYDON Independent Cable Service LONDON, Feb. 14 Fire engines and ambulances waited at Croydon airport while a British Airways machine from Paris, with seven passengers and two of a crew, circled the airport for two hours while those on board were endeavouring to rectify a jammed undercarriage. Eventually the aeroplane landed with the undercarriage retracted. No one was injured and the machine jras only slightly damaged.
