REPORTED PROPOSALS AFRICA- T-O—A.UST R A LIA FLIGHTS OVER ANTARCTIC Independent Cable Service ' LONDON, Dec. 21 A White Paper details' plans for a short air route from South Africa to Australia by flying ovor the. south polar circle via Adelie Lancf, making a total from Capetown to' Sydney of 6500 miles, or '32£ hours' flying time on the basis of 200 miles an hour. In return for permission from France to use Adelie Land, the Governments of Britain, Australia and New Zealand will agjgee to French aeroplanes using British south polar territories. WHITE PAPER DENIED INQUIRIES IN PROGRESS LONDON, Dec. 21 The Air Ministry has no knowledge of an impending White Paper on the air route from Capetown to Sydney, concerning which investigations are being continued.
