Ned Cuttle was responsible for an attractive effort when lie beat Aussie Ra over seven furlongs by nearly a length. They ran the last six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. Ned Cuttle revelled in the going and should the track he holding at Awapuni lie should be prominent. Loxdcn and To Morehu finished on terms over half a mile in 51 4-ss, Glenthawn. who has freshened since racing at Woodville, was under a hold when riming five furlongs in 1.9 2-5. Highball, who appeared to appreciate the going, ran the last half-mile of a round in 565. Sang Bleu was not extended to cover five furlongs in 1.10, With the assistance of Glorietta over the first half-mile Tahurangi ran seven furlongs in 1.89.
