COMING RETIREMENT FAREWELL AT ROTORUA A pleasant farewell function was held in the Blue Bath Tearooms at Rotorua on Monday evening when members of the Post and Telegraph Department and friends met to make a presentation to Miss M. E. Wylie, who will retire on superannuation after 33 years' service. A programme of musical items had been arranged, which included vocal solos by Miss B. Davidson and Mr. C. J. C. Grant, the accompanist being Miss M. Chote. Items were also given by Guide Nellie, of Whakarewarewa, and her concert party. During an interval, the postmaster, Mr. F. W. Dingwall, praised Miss Wylie's services to the department and presented her on behalf of the staff with a gold watch and a bedroom clock. Speeches were also made by Mr. H. C. Smith, Mr. T. A, McLean and Guide Nellie.
