BEGINNING THE DAY
(Supplied by the Council of Christian Congregations.) Text.—For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world;, but that tho world through Him might be saved. Jno., 3; 37. Verse.— For 10l the days are hastening on. By prophet bards - foretold. When with tho ever-circling years Comes round the aire of gold; When peace shall over all the earth Its ancient splendours flinsr. And the whole world send back tho sow? Which now the angels sing. Prayer.—o God, whose Son was manifested that He might destroy tho works of evil, and make us tho sons of God, and heirs of eternal life; grant us, we beseech Thee, that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves, even as He is pure; that, when He pear again with power and great gior>» we may be made r like unto Him in His eternal glorious kingdom, where nll J Thee, He liveth and reigneth. world without end. Amen.
