NEW ZEALAND HOSPITALS FINDING QUALIFIED SISTERS [by telegraph —OWN correspondent] PALMERSTON NORTH, Tuesday According to a report presented to the Palmerston North Hospital Board by the secretary, Mr. A. J. Phillipps, there is an acute position as regards securing qualified persons to fill positions as sisters in the public hospitals, and especially as sisters of maternity * l °The report suggested that the executive of the Hospital Boards' Association be asked to have the matter brought before the general conference in Netv Plymouth and, in the meantime, to communicate with the Health Department with a view to ascertaining what steps could be taken the boards to overcome the position. The board decided to draft a remit on these lines.
