DOMINION CONTRIBUTIONS ACKNOWLEDGMENT RECEIVED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] NAPIER, Tuesday The following cablegram has been received by the Hon. W. E. Barnard, M.P.. Speaker of the House of Representatives. from Madame Chiang Kaishek: "I have just arrived at Chunking and received a total of 91.000 Chinese dollars. I am mailing receipts. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to the committee and contributors.
"Since leaving Hankow in October wo have been accompanying the Generalissimo on an inspection of several battlefronts, and thereby we are able personally to Visit children's homes in various localities.» Local committees afe doing excellent work caring for war orphans "Our trip in the last two months has provided convincing evidence that the Japanese ruthless and inhuman bombing of innocent civilians throughout the interior continues with unabated ferocity. The resistance we have carried on during the past 17 months wilt be continued with intensified determination. "
