NOTED AMERICAN COMEDIAN Although Mr. Will , Muhoneiy is classed among the best and njost genuinely humorous comedians on the stage to-day, Frank Neil's revuo, "Wty Bo Serious,'' which is to be staged tor a brief season by J. C. Willi unson Theatres, beginning on Saturday afternoon and evening next, is far from being a "one-man" show. Associated with Mr. Mahoney is a company ot very talented revue and variety artists. Mr. Mahoney js said to he the typo of comedian that makes the audience laugh the whole time he is on the stage, and his eccentric dancing is one of the features of his performance. Another brilliant artist is Miss J'jvio Hayes who is a popular "favourite in New York. She achieved ail outstanding success in London, where she has been appearing consistently for the past five years. She is described as the possessor of a delightful personality, and she sings popular songs in her own inimitable style. She is also a clever dancer. In recent years Aueklanders have not seen a comedienne as entertaining as Miss Violet Carlson, and this diminutive artist will be presented in the specialty acts which won for her a name in America. It is said that she is exceedingly humorous in her feature turn entitled "Burlesque of famous Prima Donnas," but this is only one of several outstanding featurettes. Those who enjoy a good singer should be highly entertained by Mr. Lawrence Brooks, one of America's foremost tenors. Jimae. who is known in New York as Ripley's man of mystery* is a past master in the world of magic. Mr. Whitev Robert* is a comedy dancing juggler, and Tex Morton is the cowboy vodler, whose records are frequently heard over the air. Mr. Johnny Bryant is a whistling artist, and Bob is a wellknown New York entertainer.
