'l4 In the absence of Jewish competition, says the Vienna correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, the prices of much Christmas produce and goods have increased 50 per cent. Fresh eggs are unobtainable, butter is scarce and milk is being adulterated. Officials, who are investigating the matter, have fined a milliner £9OO for overcharging. Further fines are expected.
