CONTESTS AT TAURANGA H Y TELEGRAPH —OWN* CORK ES PONDEN T ] TAURANGA, Thursday Pupils from To Puke High School visited Tauranga and met local teams in sports competitions. The morning was spent on the rifle range, while in tlio afternoon tennis and cricket matches were played at the Domain. Results of the rifle shooting were as follows:—Senior match: Sergeant H. H. Garner, 1; S. B. Wells, 'J; D. R. Carter, 3- D. K. Benson, •!. Junior match: A. R. Berrv, I; D. T. Lowe, 2; A. Bettleheim, G. Ronayne, 4. Teams' match: Sergeant H. H. Garner (leader), 1. In the cricket contest W. Ellis was top scorer for Tauranga with '23, while Gemming, for To Puke, scored 10.
