LAUNCH'S VOYAGE

AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON STRATHMORE'S LONG TRIP CALLS ON THE COAST Beginning a 600-mile voyage to Wellington, the 45ft. motor-cruiser Strathmore left Auckland for Tauranga shortly after 10.30 last night. A line and commodious launch, the Strathmore was recently purchased by Mr. C. Todd, of Wellington, from Mr. R. W. Butcher, of Hamilton. The Strathmore is making the journey in the charge of Mr. A. R. Clarke, who will bo accompanied as far as Tauranga by Mr. Butcher. j\lr. Clive Power, of Auckland, will then join the Strathmore for the remaining stages. The launch should reach Tauranga this morning and after fuelling will leave for Gisborne and Napier. Mr. Clarke stated last night that ho anticipated reaching Wellington in four days, weather permitting.
