NEW HEADMASTEES NEWTON WEST AND ORAKEI OTHER POSITIONS APPROVED A long list of teaching appointments, which included seven new- headmasterships, was approved by the Auckland Education Board yesterday. Among the headmasters' appointments were those of Mr. W. S. Dempsey to Newton West and Mr. S. ,T. liishop to Ornkci. Mr. Dempsey was headmaster of the Helensviile School until May, 1935, when he was transferred to the Wellington board's district ns headmaster of the Mount Cook School, Wellington. Ho replaces Mr. J. J<\ Roberts, who is retiring. Mr. Bishop, who has been appointed the first permanent headmaster of Orakei, is at present headmaster of the l'apakura School.
