SOCIAL AFTERNOON
HOME LEAGUE MEMBERS SALVATION ARMY CORPS The closing meeting of the year of the Home League, Papakura Corps of tho Salvation Army, took the form of a drawing room afternoon, at which there was a largo attendanco of members and guests. An interesting programme of musical and elocutionary items was arranged by tho local officers. Major and J Irs. B. Tompson. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. Goffiu, of Wellington, whose subject was "The Alluring Hearthstone of Religion." Mrs. G. H. Davis presented tho prizes won during the year. The hostesses were Mrs. A. Irvine, Misses Farr, Escolme and 11. and D. Troughton. Among those present were: —Mrs. A. Burgess, Mrs. 11. Kemp, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Croucher, Mrs. W. Milne, Mrs. Kozanic, Mrs. Thornsen, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Grieves, Mrs. J). Barnctt, Mrs. \V. Multitude, Mrs. S. Smith, Mrs. Kiddoy, Mrs. Nelson', Mrs. Perry-Taylor, Mrs. H. Banff, Mrs. Hodgkinson, Mrs. Wool ley, Mrs. I. M. Raynor, Mrs. Blair, Mrs. Christopher, Miss Totman, Miss Whitton, Sister Cliff.
