• f • • V : • Vr •' OFFERING AT CHRISTCHURCH The first Soutii Island-iroci'sale of the current season will be held m Christchurch to-day, ; whrtv the finer wools market will be tested. The catalogue of 24,000 bales has been filled for some time, and the wool has come forward in good condition. V ' The bulk of the offering is hoggets' wool, and it is reported that some very attractive samples will be submitted. The general quality,, in fact, -is considerably above that offered for some years. A certain amount of crossbred wool from the small plains farms Is included in the sale, as well as a proportion of last season's cttrry-cVer. The auction will commence at 8 a.m.. instead of 9 a.-m«, as was scheduled.
