FAREWELL BALL

TRAINING COLLEGE "BREAKING.UP" WEEK MANY STUDENTS ATTEND "Breaking-lip" week at the Teachers' Training College, Epsom, has included many delightful functions, among them being the farewell ball to the secondyear students, held in the college hall last night. Some hundreds of first and second-year students attended the dance, which, from the outset, was a happy and informal affair, with bright music to set a merry pace. The guests were received by the principal, Mr. D. M. Rae, and Mrs. Rae, who was wearing lilac pebble crepe with a violet velvet coatee, Miss E. B. Lea, women's _ warden, who was in black floral crepe threaded with gold, and Miss Molly Carey, women's president for 1939, who wore a frock of apple and i forest green patterned georgette. The men's president for 1939, Mr. E. B. Allison, made a brief speech during the evening. ' \ Among the Dancers Among those present were:—Mrs. B. M.
