MANY IMPROVEMENTS
HAMILTON FIRE STATION ADDITION OF NEW WING [from our own correspondent] HAMIi/TON, Wednesday Continually delayed by wet weather and seriously handicapped by the shortage of labour, work on the extension to the Hamilton fire station will not bo completed until early in the new year. Tho work was begun at Easter this year, and it was then expected that tho completed building would be in use last month. The extension makes provision, for numerous improvements. The old building was too small to house the four machines of the brigade adequately, but now it will bo possible to house six machines. The old engine room is to be used as a gymnasium and billiard room. Two sets of married men's quarters havo been provided in the new wing, bringing the total to three, while it will also be possible to accommodate eight single firemen at the station.
