Congalton, showed that, since April 1, general rates collected totalled £46,918, of which £33,712 current dues arid £13,206 arrears. In the corresponding period of 1937, tho amount 'received had been £42,433, comprising £29,653 current and £12,780 arrears. The total amount of water rates, current and in arrears, tbat had been received this year was £6915, compared with £6016 in the corresponding 1937 period.
