HIGH STANDARD OF BLOOMS ]>rom our own coßnnsroNDENT] OIIAUPO, Tuesday The third annual flower show was held in the Memorial Hall, Ohaupo. There were good entries in all classes and the judges, Mr. Williams (To Awnmutu), flowers, Mrs. J. Trenton (Hamilton), needlework, and Mr«. Solo (Tuhikaramoa), cookery, all praised the standard of the exhibits. The show was formally opened by Mrs. Chapman, president of the Waikato Federation of Women's Institutes, who was introduced by Mrs. A. Fletcher, president of the combined show committee. Awards in the flower classes were as follows: —• Roses.—Three blooms: Mrs. P. R.vburn, 1; Miss Horneinuu, 2. Six blootns: Mrs. V. Karl, l; Mrs. Mcb'all, 2. Best bloom: Mrs. P. Boyd. 1; Mrs. MeWhannell. '2. Sweet Peas.—Mrs. Sanson, 1; Mrs. L. Turnwald, 2. Ireland poppies: Miss L. Edwards. 1. Oriental poppies: Mrs. Sanson, 1. Shirley poppies: Mrs F. G. Shaw. 3.
