LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Epsom:—The Epsom branch of the League of Mothers held its last meeting for the season on Thursday, Mrs. G. A. Hardley presiding. A welcome was extended to Mrs. Harvey Turner, provincial president, Mrs. Utting, secretary, and Mrs. Silk, treasurer, and also to members of the St. Andrew's Mothers:' Union. An enrolment service, in which seven new members were received, was conducted by Mrs. Turner. An address entitled "The Older and Younger Generations" was given by the Rev. E. P. Blamires, and items were contributed by Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs ; McKinlav and Miss Wills. Waihi.—At a recent meeting of the branch the speaker was Mrs. J. Thorn, of Thames, who recounted her impressions of Geneva. Hostesses for the afternoon wore Mrs. Boxall, Mrs. Mannix, Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Timanus. Mount Eden.—The monthly meeting of the Mount Eden branch was held on Wednesday. Visitors to the meeting who spoke briefly were the Auckland provincial president, Mrs. Harvey Turner, Mrs. S. O. English, Mrs. \V. O. Utting and Jlrs. McGregor (Otago). A pleasant social afternoon was enjoyed items being given bv the Celeste Instrumental Trio, Miss' Betty Brown, the Mount Eden Quintette, Mrs. J. Pool and Miss .loan Taylor. Afternoon tea was served by the committee.
