CONCILIATION AGREEMENTS MAGISTRATE'S COMMENT [BY TELEGItAPH —OWN COBBESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Friday Pleasure at the large number of agreements reached in Conciliation Council was expressed by Mr. J. A. f Gilmour, S.M., in the Industrial Court in Wellington, when making another such agreement, that covering "front of the house" employees in the Taranaki, Wellington and Marlborough districts, into an award. The magistrate said it was far better for the parties to agree on an award than leave it to the Court, as they had a much more thorough understanding of the conditions, in their own, industry. Since its sittings had begun in Wellington, 'the Court had converted into awards a number of industrial disputes in which agreement had been reached in Conciliation Council. - Mr. W. J. Mountjoy, who appeared for the employers, expressed agreement and added that the parties could not blame anyone but themselves for any trouble that might arise from their award. ,j On behalf of the union, Mr. J.
