DISGRUNTLED WORKERS MORE STRIKE THREATS HOSTILITY TO PREMIER PARIS, Nov. 22 The Metal Workers' Union will call out 20,000 members to-morrow as a protest against police action at the Cail works, also against overtime and against the economy decrees generally. Four thousand workers at the Cail gun factory started a stay-in strike, protesting against the dismissal of 500 men who had declined to work overtime in order to attend a union meeting.

Mobile Guards were called in. Thereupon the \mion threatened a strike of 10,000 men if they were evacuated forcibly. M. Thorez, secretary-general of the Communist Party, said: "The men are willing to work all the time required to manufacture arms and checkmate Herr Hitler on condition that M. Daladier goes." M. Daladier has instructed prefects throyghout France to ~end stay-in strikes without delay. The 620 men who struck yesterday at the Aubervillers Chemical Works, and others at Lille, resumed work later.
