Monday A number of motorists in Palmerston North are of tho opinion that a national association in the interests of caravaners and campers generally should be formed, and with this end in view they held a meeting and discussed the feasibility of the idea. However, after considerable discussion at was decided that, owing to the magnitude of the task that would bo imposed and the seemingly insurmountable difficulties in the way, it would be-better-to shelve the idea and call another meeting to : form a caravaners and campers' club in the Manawatu.' Mr. J. -H. Adam, who organised tlie meeting, said he had discovered a growing desire for some such organisation.' Local bodies and the Automobile Association had already accomplished much, but it was felt that they could \npt go as far as was needed.
