TRUCK DRIVER'S FATE IMPROVISED TYRE LEVER SUDDEN BURSTING OF TUBE WOUND INFLICTED ON HEAD [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Admitted to tlio Waikato Hospital suffering from a severe head injury, Alfred MacMahon, aged 45, married, of Belt Street, Ngaruawahia, died last niglit. Mr. MacMahon, who was employed by tho Raglan County -Council as a truck driver, was prising the rim off a grader tyre with an axe, when the tube burst and the axe flew up and struck him across the templo. An inquest will be opened before the district coroner, Mr. F. W. Platts, to-morrow morning.
