CABARET METROPOLE

A bright carnival atmosphere was created at the Cabaret Metropole on Saturday night, the management introducing many gay novelties that contributed to the festivity of the entertainment. Quaint caps and favours wore presented to the dancers, and an avalanche of multi-coloured streamers concluded one of the jolliost week-end assemblies yet held at the eubaret. Mr. Ern Beacham's band presented a programme of the latest swing melodies that are the vogue at American and BritishsCabarets. Vocal novelties by the orchestra supplemented with specialised syncopated numbers drew hearty applause from the numerous guests, and popular songs were featured by Miss F. White. The*brilliant lighting diffused from the dome gave a modernistic effect to the scene.
