WOMEN'S DIVISION
Otorohanga.—The eighth birthdav celebrations of the Otorohanga branch of the Women's Division of the Farmer's Union were held recently. An opening chorus was given bv members of the social circle. Items were contributed by Mrs. Cleland, Mrs. Horneman, Mrs. Pye, Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. Still, Mrs. Dorothy McColl, Miss Walters and the girls of the branch. The president, Mrs. Pye, gave a short talk, and presented flowers to Mrs. Cook, and to representatives from other branches and Women's Institutes. Afternoon tea was served, the president cutting the cake, which had been given by Mrs. E. H. Oudaille.
Wharehino. —The winner of a pornpetition for plain scones was Mrs. J. Ootid. A darned sock contest and a elilt) competition were won by Mrs. L. .Budding. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. N. Blackburn and Mrs. N. Marcroft.
