SOLDIERS IN NEED
< FURTHER HELP URGED ' An appeal to tho women of tho Dominion to demand from mcmbors of Parliament tho provision of further assistance for disabled returned soldiers and their families is being made by tho New Zealand Disabled Soldiers' Welfare Association. A circular issued by tho association states that there aro 16,000 disabled ex-Bcrvicemen in tho Dominion, 10,000 of whom aro living in poverty. It is contended that the pensions at present paid are insufficient for the reasonable needs of sick and disabled men and their dependants. The circular emphasises that the question is not one of polities, but one of assisting men who fought for their country in 191418, suffered disablement and are now in need.
