ANNUAL SOCIAL EVENING

T + y WOMEN'S INSTITUTE CENTRE ' SEVERAL ITEMS PRESENTED Tall vases of tinted lilies decorated the Penwomen's rooms last night, when the annual social evening of the Auckland Women's Institute Centre was held. Bridge, dancing and items tnade up the entertainment programme. Receiving the guests were the vicepresidents, Mrs. E. de Montalk, who wore larkspur blue crepe suede, and Miss E. lieston, in black and -whits floral silk and silver lame, and the secretary, Mrs. E. G. Brady, wearing black and gold lace. A comedy sketch was presented / by Mrs. P. Reston and Mrs. W. Jones, recitations were given by Mrs. M. Grant, and Mrs. Clayton sang. Rama Mitchell and Colleen Tonge gave novelty dances. Mrs. H. Baylis played the dance music, and also accompanied Mrs. Clayton on the, piano. Among those present were:—Mrs. W. J. Sugden, Mrs. E. B.
