COUNTRY STOCK SALES

fRANKTON QUOTATIONS PRIME FAT OX TO £ls/2/6 STORE PIGS IN KEEN DEMAND ; [FEOM OUH OWN CORBESroXDEXI] HAMILTON, Tuesday An average yarding of fat ox was submitted for sale at the Frankton I yards to-day. The demand, however, j was not as keen as it was last week, ! aiid values showed an easing tendency. | The offering of fat cows and heifers was of average size, and in this department also the demand was weaker than it was a week ago. Store and boner cows were penned in large numbers, and met with a steady sale. The yarding of sheep was comparatively small, although fat sheep were well represented. Prime and finished fat sheep sold well, but medium and unfinished were in weak demand. Store hoggets were sufficient in numbers to meet;tho market, and met with a fair inquiry. A largo yarding of pigs came forward and finished baconers and. porkers sold ion a par with recent quotations. Store pigs were keenly sought, and the average yarding tvas disposed of at prices showing ,-a decided advance on last week's sale.
