60 STOLEN AND RELEASED TWO VISITS MADE TO AVIARY [by telegraph—k>wn correspondent] HAWF.RA, Thursday A bird fancier at Manaia has lost 60 British and foreign cage birds, some being stolen and others released. *c* cess was gained to the aviary behin the combined shop premises and residence owned by Mr. J. Hodgson. Tie door was broken open on one occa sion, but only a few birds were lost. Precautions were taken to strengthen the aviary, but on Monday intruders cut the wire netting. A variety o birds was housed in tho aviary an those not stolen evidently escaped during tho early daylight hours.
