LANCASHIRE SOCIETY
There was a large attendance of members and friends at the social evening held by the Lancashire Society in the Arts Hall on Wednesday. Kloeutionarv items by Miss Meredith, humorous items by Mr. Massey and songs by Mrs. Osborne, Miss Peace and Mr. Lowe, were greatly enjoyed. Mr. P. Black was the accompanist. Winners of the lucky number were Mrs. Wright, Mrs. E. Bodgers. Mr. linmerson and .Mr. Pickering. Monto carlo prizes were won by Mrs. K. Hod' and Mrs. Irvine, and the competition winners were Mrs. Haslam and Mrs. Jones. During the evening Mrs. Brassington and Mrs. Godsall were presented with bouquets on the occasion of their birthdays. Mrs. Dawson was the hostess and supper was served by the ladies of the committee.
