Ringshot's form at Avondale was disappointing in view of his. .recent good track work. Chelandry Pleases Valmint (Murray) accompanied the two-year-old Chelandry (Treinain) over three furlongs in 38 3-ss. It was a pleasing effort on the part of Chelandry (Vaals —Ornamental), who appears to be a natural galloper. Rajanya (Treinain) was not troubled to run six furlongs in 1.26 1-5. He is shaping up into a solid gelding and moves well. King Rod (Treinain) was timed to complete the last six furlongs of a round comfortably in 1.28 2-5. He came home strongly and appears to have recovered from the lameness that affected him a while back. The hunter Red Sails (Eearn) ran half a mile in 53 3-ss, a good effort for one of his class. Sly Fox Goes Freely On the tan Norse Lady (Eearn) concluded the last three furlongs of her work bv running 15s to the furlong, Sly Fox (Mclnally) hit out with plenty of dash while accomplishing a similar task. . MARTON PROSPECTS BEAU VITE AND SIGLOW ALLOA LIKELY IMPROVER [by TELKGRAP.U —OWN COHIIKSPONUKNT] ' WELLINGTON, Thursday Two of the Trentliani lot, Beau Vite and Siglow, will be making their hrst appearance at the Marton meeting on Saturday. Beau Vite is tho Beau Pere —Dominant colt, who cost Mr Ralph Stewart MO guineas at the last sales. He had a run down the straight at Foxton on Saturday ana showed himself a good mover, but he may need a race or two. The Trentham tracks havo been so wet and heavy that no real line on the two-year-olds can be obtained. It is possible that Siglow has come on a lot on the firm going at I'oxton during the week. Siglow is a brother to Sigunt, and, although that is not a great recommendation, he is promising and fairly forward. Three other fresh two-year-olds at Marton to-morrow are Deflation, Loighon Rei and Miss Loighon. Deflation is a brown colt bv Inflation from True Step, Loighon Rei is a bay filly bv Leighon from Lady Pain, and Miss Loighon is a chestnut filly by Loighon from Rule Britannia Vast-ones, one of the _ two-year-olds to appear at Marton is the stablemate of the Wnnganui winner Pas do Cheval and in that particular race Yascones, according to the betting, was regarded as much the likelier prospect. However, as she drew 13 at the post there is some excuse for her failure and she might ,soon do better. Vasoonps is a bav filly by Gaseony from Talari, and she belongs to a speedv family.
