FAMILY IN TENTS
HOUSING SHORTAGE POSITION IN WHANGAREI PERMIT FOR SIX MONTHS [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday Reflecting the present housing shortage in Whangarei, an application was received at the meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council last night, for permission to erect two tents for the accommodation of a family.
The applicant stated that he was unable to secure a house, but was awaiting a Government house. The council decided to grant permission for a period of six months, it being considered that within that period a house should be available.
